In the original Latin of the Prayer-Book (which is the only "Authorized" Edition) it is, "Cor mundun crea in nobis O Deus". It neither
says "our" heart, nor "make", but "create a clean heart within us, O God". This
corresponds precisely with the Greek of Ps 51:10 (5:12 in Heb., Ps 50:12
in Sept.). |
